The computer lab at the Aris Formazione Ricerca headquarters in Perugia, named after Valter Fabio Filippetti.

Aris Formazione Ricerca, Cooprogetti, and Legacoop Umbria commemorate Valter Fabio Filippetti by dedicating the computer lab at their Perugia headquarters to him.

An engineer and founding member in 1976 of Cooprogetti, a cooperative based in Gubbio, Filippetti served as president of the cooperative from 1982 to 2014 and as president of ARIS from 1993 to 1996. He was a central figure in the cooperative movement within Legacoop Produzione e Servizi Umbria.

His vision contributed to establishing the cooperative model as a fairer form of work organization, capable of enhancing high-level professional skills and placing them at the service of local community development. At the core of his commitment was always the person, even before the project itself: a human and social focus summed up in his motto, “In cooperativa si sta bene” (“In a cooperative, it is good to be”).

For Filippetti, this meant asking every day: what makes you feel good? Because the well-being of each individual was part of the well-being of all: “if you are happy, we are happy.”

His vision supported the growth of Cooprogetti in Italy and abroad, including in South America, where he founded the first branch in 1990. He was a pioneer and advocate of an interdisciplinary approach to development, capable of connecting skills, communities, and the future.

Dedicating the ARIS computer lab to Valter Filippetti means preserving a legacy, but also passing on to new generations an idea of cooperation that is both modern and deeply human. A form of cooperation that, even in the most difficult moments, is capable of renewal: as shown by the journey of Cooprogetti, which after years of challenges successfully went through generational transition and relaunched the enterprise, growing from €1.4 million in revenue in 2019 to €14 million in 2025.

Thank you, Valter.
