Today, on the occasion of the conference “Museums tell the city” organised by the Superintendency of Cultural Heritage of Umbria at the Palazzo Ducale in Gubbio, the Seismic Adaptation Project of the Matteotti Primary School located in Via Perugina in Gubbio was presented. During the presentation, engineer Lorena Ragnacci of Cooprogetti illustrated the seismic upgrading project, which includes advanced base isolation techniques on a masonry-bound building. Architect Edoardo Filippetti of Cooprogetti, emphasised the value of the conservative restoration project, which is the result of a careful study of the building’s original features and the role it now plays in the urban context.
