Yesterday, Cooprogetti took part in the presentation of the project “Pontile per tutti – The Sea Without Barriers”, promoted by the Italian Naval League – Reggio Calabria Section, reaffirming its concrete commitment to supporting inclusion and accessibility. The initiative involves the construction of a floating, removable, and fully accessible pier: an innovative infrastructure that will allow people with disabilities, for the first time in Reggio Calabria, to independently access the sea, board specially equipped boats, and experience the sea without barriers. A project of great social value that promotes inclusive accessibility as a fundamental right and a shared value, helping to make the local area increasingly open, welcoming, and sustainable. Representing Cooprogetti were: Architect Elisa Crimi, Head of the Infrastructure Department and Head of DEI – Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, who attended the press conference; Architect Enrico Costa; Cultural Heritage Conservator Eleonora Gitto; Architect Luigi Muraca; Architect Zeynep Ova; Architect Antonella Strati; and Graziana Condurso, who took part in the solidarity aperitif.
Special thanks to Dr. Antonino Nicolò, President of the Italian Naval League – Reggio Calabria Section, for promoting this important initiative and involving Cooprogetti as an active partner in the project.
Thanks also to Engineer Demetrio Lavino, President of Sporting Stelle del Sud, for welcoming and supporting this important initiative, at whose facility the accessible walkway will be installed.
