Cooprogetti’s project “Brindisi Smart City-Port – Completion and Restoration of the Historic Western Waterfront” has been selected for the III Biennale dello Stretto 2026 – Mutazioni, among the ten proposals selected through the Call for Projects “Generating and Regenerating. Visions and Projects for the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria”. The project aims to restore to the city a space that speaks of the sea, history and the future, completing the regeneration of Brindisi’s waterfront and strengthening its role as a public space for the city. The intervention enhances the relationship between the city and the port, expanding the pedestrian dimension and improving the use of the spaces, creating a more open, accessible and recognisable place. A project of urban regeneration that interprets the memory of the place through a contemporary vision of public space.
