Work continues on the adaptation of the Viaduct over the Vallone, Val di Leto locality, whose project was developed by Cooprogetti Soc. Coop.
The new viaduct is being built on the existing cap route, with a complete replacement of the deck. The new structure will consist of a mixed steel-concrete section with seismic isolation, ensuring greater safety and durability.
Technical characteristics of the new deck
– Five bays with the following spans: 33.10 m, 35.10 m, 34.20 m, 33.10 m.
– The existing substructures were adapted with the construction of a reinforced concrete lining (30 cm thick) around all the existing piers, improving structural strength, and a new foundation system with micropiles, designed to ensure better geotechnical performance.
