Padua, 8 August 2025 – This morning, in the Conference Room of the Palazzina dei Servizi, the final design for the New Padua East Hospital Complex was presented in the presence of the President of the Veneto Region, Luca Zaia, and the General Manager, Dr Giuseppe Dal Ben. The project, which has been awaited for decades, involves an investment of over €870 million on 220,000 square metres and 40 hectares of dedicated area. The new hospital will have 963 beds and will be divided into four sections: Day Centre, High-Intensity Care Unit, Inpatient Tower and Research Tower. President Zaia highlighted how Padova Est and Giustinianeo will constitute the largest hospital in Italy, with over 1,680 beds. During the conference, Prof. Angelo Paolo Dei Tos emphasised the strategic role of research and training, while architect Claudia Romero (Politecnica) illustrated the health, environmental and technical-innovative aspects. Cooprogetti was represented by Technical Director Arch. and Paes. Elisa Crimi and architect Diego Benedetto.
