The intervention, for which Cooprogetti took care of the final and executive design, is part of the Extraordinary Strengthening and Redevelopment Plan of the S.S.3 ‘Via Flaminia,’ prepared by the Territorial Structure of Umbria of ANAS. The main objectives of the plan are to reduce travelling times, increase safety levels, and improve flow capacity at the busiest junctions. The works include the construction of a roundabout equipped with an advanced lighting system, designed to improve the safety of S.S.3 users and facilitate access to secondary roads. In addition, the intervention includes the regulation of a pedestrian crossing on the north side of the new roundabout, which will be adequately illuminated and connected by a pavement both in the direction of Spoleto and towards SP 462, which leads to the Church of San Pietro Extra Moenia and the Eremo delle Grazie.
