Cooprogetti is pleased to announce the start of work on the construction of the path and platform for the drilling of the TOMACHI X1 I.E. and TOMACHI-X2 I.E. wells in Bolivia. This project aims to explore the hydrocarbon potential of the northern Subandino basin.
The objective is the identification of formations, thicknesses and rock properties, aimed at evaluating the potential realisation of an oil system in this new geographical area.
The project involves an investment of approximately USD 398 million by YPFB (Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos).
Cooprogetti, in partnership with Satellite, will be responsible for the technical evaluation, detailed engineering control, monitoring of environmental procedures and compliance with ISO 14001-9001-45001, as well as supervision of the works and management of construction schedules and quantities. The project will be completed in 13 months.
The wells are located approximately 93.5 km from the nearest population in the department of Pando region bordering Brazil and Peru to the north of Bolivia.
Given the high sensitivity of the oil initiative, Cooprogetti will adopt the highest standards of safety and environmental protection also through the support of BIM methodology.
