S.S. 219 Road Pian d’Assino – Stretch Gubbio Mocaiana

Project for the construction of the variant to the S.S. 219 “Pian d’Assino”, in the stretch between the locality Madonna del Ponte and Mocaiana. The variant of the S.S. 219 “Pian d’Assino” can be classified as an extra-urban secondary road of type C1 of the Norms of 5 November 2001.
In particular, the road section consists of a single carriageway consisting of two lanes, one in each direction, of m. 3.75 each; each lane is flanked by a platform of m. 1.50 wide, for a total width of the road platform of 10.50 m. The route, given the nature of the places crossed, is completely elevated through the northern edge of the plain Eugubina and passes in the area of the cone of depression of the local water table induced by the field wells of Ray. The crossing of the plain, on the part of the above-mentioned route, substantially interferes with the secondary intermodal road network by cutting the land holdings present. The two grafts with the existing viability can be achieved by two complete junctions. The intersection near the point end of the intervention connects the variant in a project with the old path of the S.S.219; the intersection near the beginning of the intervention connects the variant with the new road from which the S.S. 452 of the “Contessa” branches off.
