Redevelopment of District II Sant’Antonio in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto

The project concerns the award of integrated technical assistance services for the implementation of the innovative program in the urban area “Barrio II°Contract, San Antonio”. The city of Barcelona Pozzo di Gotto in the last thirty years has tripled its extension and its urban fabric, several peripheral neighborhoods have emerged and among them the neighborhood of S. Antonino, characterized by a state of degradation both urban and social, as well as for a barycentric position with respect to the consolidated urban center and the main arteries of communication: improving the neighborhood, the main entrance to the city is redeveloped. The project aims to intervene through a new concept of landscape architecture, which is not simply linked to environmental redevelopment, is also a bearer of events and contemporary cultures, with the aim of improving the widespread quality of the area.
