Magna Grecia Cycle route

The Magna Grecia Cycle route is the project of the “Ionic” ridge that runs parallel to the sea and winds from Metaponto to Pozzallo, crossing 3 Regions, 11 Provinces, 3 Metropolitan Cities, and 166 Municipalities; it connects with route n. 8 of the European cycling network called EuroVelo. The Cycle route of Magna Grecia is the main axis of a cycling route, of about 1100 Km, whose construction will allow the connection with the other main and secondary axes of slow mobility that cross along its path developing from Metaponto to Pozzallo, the Ciclovia also allows the connection with the inner areas, passing from sandy beaches to lagoons and cliffs on the sea, in a varied environmental and landscape context and of strong tourist impact and creating a strong interaction with public transport networks rail-rubber-water.
