Friddizza Viaduct
The project concerns the seismic improvement of the Friddizza viaduct, north and south carriageway at km 265+888 on the A2 “Mediterranean” motorway. The building is located in the province of Cosenza near the town of Dipignano, the infrastructure was built between 1966 and 1969 and is distinguished by the Viaduct Friddizza Sud and Nord, these two works are defined by the same structural characteristics. The superstructure sees the repetition, in the various spans, of a type of scaffold composed of four beams in c.a.p. to adherent cables surmounted by a collaborating slab in c.a. to simple armor. The batteries have a cell section which has two sizes varying according to the height of the stem in elevation. The foundations, independent of each of the batteries, are of the indirect type on poles and also have variable dimensions. At the basis of the work, in addition to the documentation of the original project, there was a survey acquired through Laser Scanner Faro with clouds of points taken from different detection stations whose location was designed to minimize the shadow zones. Cooprogetti also realized the BIM as-built modeling of the Friddizza viaduct.
