Demolition and reconstruction work at the school in Sibari

The Executive Project for the demolition and reconstruction of the primary and secondary school in the locality of Sibari, a hamlet in the municipality of Cassano All’Ionio, aims to reorganise and enhance the existing school area, creating a modern and recognisable building, capable of dialoguing with the territory and strengthening the sense of local community. The new school complex, characterised by a simple and functional architecture, integrates architectural, plant engineering, technological and energy requirements, in line with ministerial guidelines. In addition to hosting spaces dedicated to learning, the building promotes social inclusion and the development of community interactions, becoming an aggregative and identity pole for the entire Sibari area. The intervention fits into an important urban context, close to natural and archaeological sites, and contributes to the redevelopment of the area. The flexible and adaptable design of the building reflects the desire to respond to the needs of an ever-changing school and urban community.
