Cooprogetti was responsible for the design and safety of the new school building at the “Franchetti–Salviani” Technical Hub, a project conceived to meet the needs of the school of the future. The choice of an XLAM (cross-laminated timber) structure allows for a combination of seismic resistance, thermal and acoustic comfort, and rapid construction, while maintaining a reduced environmental footprint. The project fully aligns with European and national policies on ecological transition and innovation in public administration, enhancing both architectural quality and student well-being. With this intervention, Cooprogetti embodies a new vision of school architecture: welcoming, sustainable, and resilient spaces designed to support teaching, social interaction, and the development of future generations.
