Variation to the Valdarno S.R.69 from Levane to the provincial border with new bridge over the Arno and connection to the motorway tollgate

The project for the construction of the variant concerns the 1st and 2nd lot from Levane (Montevarchi) to the locality of Acquaviva (S. Giovanni V.no) of km 9+175, developed in two connected sections: one from Levane to the locality of ‘Le Coste’ and the other from the Valdarno Tollbooth junction to the locality of Acquaviva. The new road infrastructure runs along the bottom of the Arno valley, initially on the left bank, from Levane in the municipality of Montevarchi to ‘Podere Lama’. From there, it crosses the Arno with a new bridge and follows the route of the old SP 11, which will be restructured and adapted in the section from the bridge over the Borro del Tasso to ‘Le Coste’ in the municipality of Terranuova Bracciolini. The variant road directly crosses the Arno River and four of its tributaries, listed from south-east to north-west: Torrente Caposelvi, Borro di Valdilago, Borro del Tasso, and Torrente Ciuffenna.
