The project, developed and managed by the Cooprogetti\u2013Polis Progetti team, under the supervision of the Public Works Department of the Municipality of Salerno, involved four buildings in the \u201cLe Fornelle\u201d neighbourhood, focusing on improving residential comfort, energy efficiency and structural safety. The buildings have been upgraded to energy class B through improvements to the building envelope, new windows and boilers, thermostatic valves and mechanical ventilation systems, together with interventions aimed at improving their seismic performance. The redevelopment also extended to the surrounding public spaces and green areas, including works to restore Santa Teresa Beach, the regeneration of Piazza Cavour and the green area on Via Matteo D\u2019Aiello, as well as the maintenance and renewal of some of the neighbourhood\u2019s pavements and pedestrian routes. An integrated intervention in which building redevelopment goes hand in hand with the regeneration of urban space and the enhancement of the neighbourhood\u2019s identity. As part of this process, the restoration of the fa\u00e7ades also contributed to the \u201cMuri d\u2019Autore \u2013 Parco della Poesia di Strada\u201d initiative, promoted by the Alfonso Gatto Foundation together with the Municipality of Salerno, through works by international artists.
